Nabilah became the youngest woman ever elected to the Georgia Senate at 32 years old.
Nabilah is the first Muslim woman and the first South Asian woman elected to the Senate.
Last year, Nabilah became the first woman to give birth while serving in the Georgia Senate.
Nabilah graduated from Gwinnett County Public Schools put herself through college at Georgia State University with the help of the HOPE scholarship and by working part-time at a retail store.
She’s made headlines by advocating for young women running for office – and by making it easier for working class candidates to run for office.
